About Bridget

I am a mental fitness coach, corporate Learning and Development leader, competitive runner, food lover, fun finder, and comedy enthusiast. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and live in Berkeley, California.

I have had a lifelong interest in helping others and started my career working at an international non-profit. While getting my master’s degree in Organization Development from the University of San Francisco, I shifted my focus from non-profit work to corporate Learning and Development. In the corporate realm, I support individuals, teams, and organizations to learn, grow, and succeed by creating and managing strategic Learning and Development programs.

I believe every individual is inherently valuable and I work to help magnify that worth for the good of the individual, the team, the organization, and society.

In 2014, I participated in a life coaching workshop offered through my office followed by a 1:1 coaching session with the coach who facilitated the workshop. After that discovery call with her, I thought, “once I have more work experience, I want to do THAT!” I loved the group workshop experience and the opportunity to connect and explore 1:1. In November 2021, I started my coaching certification program through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching. I started working with my first client one month later. I completed the program in December 2022 and now have over 350 hours of coaching training and practice.

I love helping other people find the tools and belief in themselves to navigate, and sometimes initiate, life’s ongoing transitions. I learned through my coach training that I love supporting others to find the right answers for themselves when moving through life transitions.

My job as a coach is to work with growth-minded people to run their life transitions in work, life, and love. I am a resource for my clients, whether they find themselves in a situation they didn’t plan, or are gearing up to instigate a shift, or want support to gradually move from being a type of person who thinks/feels/believes/does ‘X’ to a person who thinks/feels/believes does ‘Y’.

My own life experiences allow me to relate to what clients are undertaking.

Examples of transitions that impacted my own life:

  • switching elementary schools as a kid

  • deciding to study abroad in India for my first international trip

  • quitting a stable job to try to launch a women’s cycling apparel company with a friend

  • going to grad school while working full time

  • loving wholeheartedly in a few long term relationships and navigating the turmoil of the end of those relationships

  • leaving a job after seven months because of a psychologically abusive boss

  • working through the loss of a parent

  • deciding to get my coaching certification while working full time

In addition to the bigger changes I’ve tackled, I continually focus on self-reflection and self-improvement, such as:

  • learning techniques and gaining the confidence to give and receive feedback at work

  • creating practices to give myself care and love regularly

  • releasing my sense of responsibility for my parents’ happiness

  • chipping away at my marathon time over years of training to qualify for the U.S. Olympic Trials in 2020

  • learning how to ask for what I want/need in relationships that previously lacked boundaries

  • taking on a management role in my corporate job
